On 3rd November 2016, the Tibetan legal Association headed by the President and incumbent Parliamentarian Lobsang Dakpa and office rent sponsor Ms. Marrisa Burns along with the lawyers at TLA ,had the precious audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama . It has been the most unforgettable and blessing moment for all the staff members
The President told His Holiness about; the programs carried by the Tibetan Legal Association, the future plans to be executed in order to create legal awareness amongst Tibetans, the low legal literacy both inside Tibet and exile, report on legal survey submitted to three organs of Central Tibetan Administration. The Report was on Legal Survey Conducted in Tibetan Settlements and Monasteries in South India and; importance of actions to be carried out by the office bearers regarding the prevailing legal problems. His Holiness was pleased and mentioned importance of rule of law. His Holiness inspired the Associations to work hard and strive for betterment. He expressed appreciation toward Rent sponsor Ama Marrisa Burns for the Contributions. His Holiness also told the staff of Dalai Lama Trust that the Association like TLA deserves help from the Dalai Lama Trust and also asked staff to render helping hands to the Association in case of any problems.
The Rule of law maintains peace and harmony in the society. It also protects the basic human rights.Thus it is very important to all the Tibetans to be aware of rights and duties entitled to one’s self, under rule of law and legal system.
