THREE DAYS WORKSHOP ON STRENGTHENING CIVIL SOCIETY BY CENTRE FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Ms. Namgyal Tsekey and Ms. Dickyi Peldon from TLA, have attended three days workshop organized by Tibetan Centre for Conflict Resolution (TCCR) on Conflict Resolution, Democratic Processes and Peace Building at College for Higher Tibetan Studies at Sarah, from 23rd to 25th March 2017.
The Civil society has a vast and important role in strengthening of democracy and democratic processes in every democracy around the world. Tibetan Legal Association as a civil society is an integral part of any form of development and progress, it is also a fact that we face the biggest challenges in being able to sustain ourselves and be more productive. Tibetan Centre for Conflict Resolution (TCCR) had invited NGOs to a three day long workshop/seminar titled “Strengthening Civil Society in Exile” which was held at College for Higher Tibetan Studies at Sarah.
This three-day workshop/seminar brought together leaders of various NGO’s and institutions that constitute the Tibetan Civil Society in Exile. The TCCR promoted an atmosphere of sharing and learning that encourages partnership building and support for future networking. We had interaction and discussion on conflict resolution skills that would enhance work quality and inter-personal relations in the work sphere and to create a better networking among different organizations.
1st DAY PROGRAM :

Ø Conflict Escalation
Ø Stereotype- Society thinking ..
Ø Orange Story- An Act play – Where parties in dispute found solution by themselves rather than await decision by authority
Ø Ground Agreement- River of Life.
2nd DAY OF PROGRAM
Ø Feed Back and review of the first day program
Ø Communication skill and Negotiation- Card Game
Ø Movie about forgiving- Rwanda Genocide
3rd DAY OF THE PROGRAM
Third Day focused on the Introduction of each of the Organization, its work and discussions of the work done by the Association,
