Legal Awareness Program conducted by Tibetan Legal Association Lawyer Mr.Lobsang Dakpa at the auditorium of Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, Dharamsala on 3rd March 2017
As requested by the Naglha Editorial Office, the Tibetan Legal Association had conducted a legal awareness program to the students of the Nagshoe Dokham Driru. The TLA President Mr Lobsang Dakpa, and Lawyer Mr Kunsang Topden, Legal Staff Ms Dickyi Peldon, and Ms Yama Choezom had given talk on the specific legal subjects, at the auditorium of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, on 3rd March, 2017.
The Legal awareness program was conducted from 1pm to 4.30pm with the attendance of approximately twenty Tibetan people, including monks and nuns and the students of College of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah.
The topics include, Rights of Tibetans (foreigners) under Indian Constitution, importance of personal documents such as Registration Certificate(RC) and Identity Certificate (IC), kinds of offences under Indian Penal Code, hierarchy of courts, legal system in India, the legal framework of People’s Republic of China, followed by question-answer session.
