On 2 December 2025<\/strong>, the Tibetan Legal Association (TLA)<\/strong>, in collaboration with the CTA\u2019s Tibetan Women Helpline Desk<\/strong> and the Women Empowerment Desk<\/strong>, conducted an intensive awareness session titled \u201cUnite to End Digital Violence Against All Girls and Women\u201d<\/strong> at the Men-Tsee-Khang Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute<\/strong>. The program was organized as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence<\/strong> campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session aimed to raise awareness about the growing forms of digital and online violence<\/strong>, including cyber harassment, online abuse, misuse of personal data, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Participants were informed about legal remedies, reporting mechanisms, and preventive measures<\/strong>, as well as the importance of responsible and safe digital engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the awareness session, TLA also participated in a dialogue circle with Tibetan NGOs<\/strong>, which provided a valuable platform for meaningful discussions and collective reflection<\/strong>. The dialogue focused on identifying areas for collaboration<\/strong>, sharing best practices<\/strong>, and discussing challenges and experiences<\/strong> related to advocacy, prevention, and response to gender-based violence within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was attended by students and teachers of the Men-Tsee-Khang Institute<\/strong> and was conducted in an interactive and participatory manner<\/strong>. It concluded with an engaging discussion and a lively question-and-answer segment<\/strong>, during which participants actively shared concerns and sought clarification on legal and practical aspects of addressing digital violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TLA was honored by the strong support and cooperation of the Men-Tsee-Khang Institute<\/strong> and expresses sincere appreciation to all collaborating partners. TLA looks forward to continuing such collaborative awareness and capacity-building initiatives<\/strong> in the future to promote safety, dignity, and empowerment of women and girls<\/strong>, both online and offline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
